William “Bill” T. Moody III, 91, of Madison, Alabama passed away on March 18th at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation. He was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama and lived in Sheffield, Alabama until 1951 when he was drafted into the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. His family then moved to Huntsville, Alabama. Mr. Moody was a Construction Estimator until he retired from Universal Construction Company in 1998. After retirement he devoted his time volunteering at Huntsville Botanical Garden where he enjoyed helping with the Galaxy of Lights. He, also, dedicated time volunteering at both Huntsville and Madison Hospitals.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lucy A. Moody, his brother Jim Moody, and his sister Kay Crow. He is survived by one daughter Cindy West (Don) of Hope Mills, NC, two step-daughters Donna Carter-Willis and Deborah Williams both of Hazel Green, AL. One granddaughter Nichole Boyd (Jamie) of Jacksonville, NC, grandson Justin West (Casey) of Burnsville, NC, and grandson Ethan Bean (Heather) of Huntsville, AL. Great-grandchildren Landon West, Emery West, Liam Bean, and Eden Bean, and nine nieces and nephews.
A grave side service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery on March 21st at 11am.
