Susan Carol Santiago, or as we all knew her as Sue, was born on December 17, 1962, and left us peacefully on October 24, 2024, in Madison, Alabama, after a long and arduous battle with various illnesses. Throughout her life, Susan embodied a spirit of sweetness and kindness that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She consistently prioritized the well-being of others over her own, radiating a beautiful smile that could light up any room as she gracefully navigated through life's challenges.
Susan's creative talents shone during the festive seasons, particularly during Halloween, when she enjoyed decorating and dressing up alongside her family. Her love for this holiday was matched only by her dedication to making Thanksgiving special, where she would prepare amazing meals with her renowned delicious mashed potatoes. Christmas was a particularly magical time in her household; the family home would be beautifully decorated, with gifts lovingly wrapped and waiting under the tree, creating cherished memories for all.
An avid lover of animals, Susan took care of many adorable dogs, showcasing her nurturing nature not just towards her loved ones but also towards her furry companions. Her favorite color was purple, and she possessed a deep passion for pasta, making every meal an opportunity to express her culinary creativity. Movie nights with her family were cherished moments, serving as a reminder of the importance of togetherness and joy.
As a devoted mother, Susan's proudest accomplishment was being an amazing mom to her daughter, Emily. Their bond was filled with love, laughter, and the kind of memories that will forever remain etched in Emily's heart. Susan's husband, Filiberto, will remember her as a steadfast partner whose warmth and spirit enriched their lives together.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Emily; her devoted husband, Filiberto; and her cherished sister, Judy White. Susan now joins her beloved parents, Betty Jane White and Homer Jackson White, in eternal peace.
As we remember Susan, let us cherish the beautiful memories she created and the love she shared. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and creativity will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
