Stephen Edward Robinson of Madison, Alabama, formerly of Gladwyne, Pennsylvania, passed on March 7, 2023.  He was 63 years old.

Steve was born in Savannah Georgia to Ian and Betty Robinson. He graduated from Harriton High School in Philadelphia in 1977. During his youth, he was a member of the Lower Merion police department.

Steve loved his friends, his family, and the Philadelphia Phillies. Rocky was his favorite movie. To say Steve was a fighter was an understatement. He touched so many hearts during his time on this earth. He truly was the epitome of selfless; always putting others first. His generosity knew no bounds.

Steve graduated from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia in 1982, and upon moving to Birmingham in 1987, furthered his education at the University of Alabama Birmingham. However, an extremely successful career in the government contracting world was not enough for Steve. Along with his main career path, he then went on to obtain his Theology degree at Huntington College in Montgomery, and became an ordained minister. He served as associate pastor at Christ Church United Methodist in Birmingham, AL, and continued to guest preach at Madison Methodist Church. His last sermon was delivered on Sunday, February 19, 2023, after he spent the previous Friday evening in the emergency room due to heart problems. Steve truly was unstoppable.

By his side through it all was his beloved wife of almost 40 years, Priscilla Gabel Robinson, who followed him from Dover, DE to Atlanta, GA, to Birmingham, AL, to Madison, AL.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents: Ian and Betty Robinson, and his brother: Dr. John William Muth. He is survived by his wife Priscilla Gabel Robinson; his daughter Jennifer Robinson Jones (Colby), two sons: Jacob Scott Robinson, and Joshua Michael Robinson; sister Susan Robinson of Palm Beach Gardens FL, two brothers:  Ronald Emerich (Dianne) of Hiawasee GA, and Thomas Robinson (Denise) of Pawley’s Island SC, and Aunt Marjorie Beall of West Palm Beach, FL.

The family will receive friends for a visitation starting at 1PM on Monday, March 13 at Legacy Chapel in Madison, AL, followed by a celebration of life service at 3PM. A reception immediately following the service will be held at 106 Jefferson in downtown Huntsville, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the American Heart Association.
