Sandra Sue Bisbee

Sandra Bisbee, 82, of Madison, Alabama passed from this life on February 15, 2023. Sandra, who also answered to “Sandy,” and, most lovingly, “Nanny,” lived in various states throughout her life. She was born in Missouri, and from there, lived near the beautiful canyons, mountains, and deserts of Utah and Arizona. Eventually, after retiring as a school secretary, Sandra and her husband, Roger, moved to Alabama to be near family. Sandra was a faithful member of the Gooch Lane church of Christ in Madison, Alabama.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Roger Bisbee; her parents, John David and Lillian Shipman; and her siblings, Jimmy Shipman (Joan), Charlie Shipman (Verna Mae), Anna Mae Hicks (Neil), Mary Jane Alexander (Bob), and Joe Shipman. 

She is survived by her daughters, Becky Carr (Tom) and Lori Bisbee; her grandchildren, John Speigner, Meredith Sides (Bradley), and Mckenna Underwood (Austin); her great-grandchildren, Mahala Speigner, Christopher Speigner, and Grayson Underwood; her siblings, Carl Wayne Shipman (Carol) and Linda Walker (Jim); many nieces and nephews; and her best four-legged friend, Sophie Ellen Bisbee.

The family will hold a public memorial service at 1:00 p.m., with visitation at 12:00, on Sunday, February 19, at Legacy Chapel in Madison, Alabama.
