Olivia Hope Shockney

Olivia Hope Shockney April 7, 2006 – February 18, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Olivia Hope Shockney, who peacefully departed this world on February 18th, 2025, at the age of 18. Hope, as she was affectionately known, passed away surrounded by the love and comfort of her family in her home.

Born on April 7th, 2006, in Huntsville, Alabama, Hope was a radiant soul whose infectious joy and warmth touched everyone she encountered. She lived her life with an open heart, bringing light and love into the lives of those around her. Her smile, her laughter, and her gentle spirit will remain etched in our hearts forever.

Hope is survived by her devoted parents, Charles Robert and Laura Beth Shockney; her loving sisters, Faith and Gracie Shockney; her cherished grandparents, Mary Mathis, Lois Shockney, and Jeff "CJ" Shockney; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were blessed to know her. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, Terry Mathis.

A visitation will be held at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home in Madison, Alabama, on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with a service following. In honor of Hope, the family kindly invites all who attend to wear pink.
