Norman Harris was born and preceded in death to Bobby Harris and Lucy Mae Lockett on October 21, 1965, in Limestone, AL. He loved to play and coach basketball and played at Johnson High School in Huntsville, AL. When he was young, he tried to impress his sister (Brenda) by doing a backflip off a coffee table at age five and bit his tongue in half.
After graduating from Johnson High School, he went to the Military (Army) and was eventually stationed in Germany. He spent four years as a member of the United States Army before receiving an honorable discharge.
He spent the rest of his working career in warehouse management notably working for Futuba Corporation and DRASH. He then retired in 2012, in advance of his youngest granddaughter’s birth to be a full-time babysitting grandparent and spent the next decade enjoying his retirement and taking Brylee to school, swimming, dancing and barbecuing for his family on his three smokers.
Norman was a passionate and dedicated Auburn football fan, truly living by the mantra of the Auburn family.
Norman was loved by so many and will live on in all our memories as a loving father, grandfather and husband.
