Nancy Elizabeth Anderson

Nancy Elizabeth Anderson, born July 15, 1944, to the late George and Elizabeth Bunch, in Englewood, New Jersey passed away Friday evening, January 24, 2024, at home in Madison, Alabama with family by her side. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Peter Anderson; sister Susan Phelps (husband Kirk Phelps); daughter, Marie Day (husband Robbie Day); son, George Nelson (wife Katina Nelson); four grandchildren, Christopher Day, Zachary Day, Benji Day, Rachel Nelson; two nieces Virginia Phelps, Laura Phelps; and lifelong friends (her brother and sister at heart) Frank and Peggy Burgard.

Nancy’s life journey took her from New Jersey to Michigan, Florida, Tennessee, Texas, and Alabama where she finally settled in Madison in 2013. She had a career in office management and ultimately co-managed the family business until retirement.

She enjoyed reading, puzzle books, needlepointing, knitting, and cross-stitching. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and close friends. She will be missed by all that knew her.

She will be cremated, and a private memorial service will be held in Dunedin, Florida in the coming months.
