Mary Ann Inson Midkiff, a beloved member of the Madison, Alabama community, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on December 1, 1958, in the Philippines to Claro and Margarita (Baclagon) Inson, Mary Ann's life was a testament to love, service, and joy.
Mary Ann was known for her vibrant spirit and her unwavering commitment to her community. An avid pickleball player, she embraced the sport with enthusiasm, fostering friendships and camaraderie among fellow players. Her passion for connection extended beyond the court; she was an active volunteer at various organizations, particularly at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where her faith and dedication shone brightly. Recently, she had also become a cherished member of the local senior center, where her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving siblings, Rose Marie Baclagon Balangawan and Serafin Baclagon Inson (Francesita), as well as her stepson, Raymond Midkiff (Tammy), and stepdaughters Elizabeth Ledger and Cecilia Grosselin (Ken). She leaves behind a legacy of love in the form of numerous nieces and nephews who will forever cherish their memories with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband Harvey Franklin Midkiff, her sister Cecilia Baclagon Freeland, and her brother Ramon Baclagon Inson. Each of these individuals held a special place in her heart, and their memories will continue to inspire those who knew her.
A funeral service will be scheduled at a later date to honor Mary Ann's life and the impact she had on those around her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Madison, AL, your local St. Vincent DePaul Society, or your local food bank, reflecting Mary Ann's spirit of giving and her commitment to helping others.
Mary Ann Inson Midkiff will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and community service will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
