Jacqueline Doris Bolen

Jacqueline Doris Bolen, 92, of Madison, Alabama passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2023.  

Born April 1, 1930, Jacqueline grew up in Waverly, New York.  She attended Waverly High School where she played cello in the orchestra and sang in the operetta, graduating in 1948.  Later in 1948, she joined the Order of the Eastern Star in Waverly.  In 1952 she joined the US Navy and served as a Disbursing Clerk.  She loved her Navy "Bucket Cap".  In 1973 she served as Worthy Matron of Order of the Eastern Star in Waverly and was voted in as a lifetime member in 1977.  She also served as Worthy Matron of the Jackson, Alabama OES in 1988 and served as secretary from 1990-2007.  

She was preceded in death by her son Harlin, sister Leta, and her husband Bobby.  She is survived by her son Philip, daughter Marlene, sister Gerianne, sister Jean, brother Lynn, 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:00 A.M.
