Ellen Marie Fidoe passed away peacefully on February 17th, 2023, at home, with her loved ones. She was ready to reunite with Jesus and her beloved husband, Harry.
Born in Salem, Ohio to Daniel Planchock and Mary Ida Planchock, Ellen enjoyed time with her siblings and had an active interest in horses.
Ellen met Harry at Ohio State University in 1965. They married in 1966, and went on to have one child, Christopher Daniel Fidoe. They moved to Edwardsville, Illinois where Harry started working for Shell Oil. Ellen continued to enjoy travelling with her family. They moved and lived in many places throughout their marriage, including Saudi Arabia, Texas and eventually settling in Louisiana. Ellen enjoyed being a homemaker and staying home while Christopher was young. As Christopher got older, Ellen decided to continue her education and also worked at a crisis pregnancy center where she impacted many people. Throughout her life she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.
Ellen joins sister Judy Hepler and brother Jerry Planchock in heaven, along with her husband, Harry Fidoe. Ellen was survived by her siblings, Marianne Levinson, Pete Planchock and John Planchock, her only son Christopher Fidoe and her beloved grandson Ezra Fidoe.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
