Elisabeth Kovacs

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Elisabeth Kovacs, who peacefully departed this world on February 21, 2025 at the age of 96. Elisabeth passed away surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Elisabeth was born in Jabuka, Yugoslavia and immigrated to the United States in the 1950’s. Elisabeth was an avid sewer, quilter, baker, gardener, and crafter. She enjoyed nothing more than sharing her hobbies with her friends and family. The highlights of her life were finally being able to visit her hometown with her children and becoming a loving grandmother. 

 The Visitation will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Madison, Alabama, on Thursday February 27th at 10:00 am, with the funeral mass at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the mass beginning at approximately 12:15 pm at the same location. Burial services will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama starting at 3:00pm. Flowers can be sent to Legacy Chapel Funeral Home 16 Hughes Road, Madison, Alabama 35758 no later than 5:00 pm February 26, 2025. 

 Although we will dearly miss our mother and grandmother, we take great comfort knowing that she is in the loving arms of our Lord.
