Donna Kaye Rovere

Donna Kaye Mitchell’s birthdate set the bar for her unique and joyful personality. She was born to Johnny and Elba Mitchell in Florence, Alabama on February 29, 1952 and she would want you all to note that she only had 17 birthdays in her 71 years on earth. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Joseph Taylor Rovere, children Clay and Ann-Marie, siblings Rhonda and Johnny, nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and a legacy that cannot be described.  Donna graduated with a degree in Accounting from the University of North Alabama and married Joe on March 11, 1983. Her 30+ years in government civil service were riddled with accolades, but raising two wonderful children was her greatest accomplishment. Surrounded by loved ones in her Madison home, Donna went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2023, and was undoubtedly ushered in by a host of angels. 

Donna’s family and friends will greatly miss her passion, her humor, her infectious laugh, and her determination to make this world a better place. Her love for animals was second only to her love for God’s children and her legacy will continue to live on through those she helped.
