Daxton Wakefield Martin

Daxton Wakefield Martin passed away on February 11, 2024.  Born at just 23 weeks, he fought hard during his short ten days on earth.

Daxton is the son of Danial & Courtney Martin and brother to Carter and Colton Martin.   He is survived by his grandparents (Lynn and Brian Grantham), aunt and uncle (Kaitlin and John Michael Carter), great grandparents, great aunts and uncles, cousins, and so many other loving family members and friends.  During his short life, his family felt the support of prayers from all over the country.   A visitation will be hosted by Legacy Chapel Funeral Home on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 5:00PM until 7:00 PM.  The family will hold a private graveside service on Saturday at Huntsville Memory Gardens.

Daxton spent his ten days in the neonatal intensive care unit at Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children where he felt the love of his many nurses and doctors.   In lieu of flowers, Daxton’s family asks that you make donations to their fund to support other NICU parents in their time of need.   Donations can be made through the following link by selecting Baby Daxton Benevolence: https://pushpay.com/g/fordschapel
