Cynthia Lynn Gunter

Cynthia Lynn Patton Gunter, 64, passed away peacefully at Huntsville Hospital on April 21, 2023 while surrounded by her family. She was born in Birmingham, AL on April 17, 1959 to parents RL and Betty Patton. She graduated from Jones Valley High School and obtained a degree in sociology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She went on to marry her high school sweetheart, Tim, and have 3 children.

Cindy was a loving mother, a devoted friend, and a caring person who always put others before herself. She was known for her kind heart, her infectious laugh, and her unwavering spirit, which touched the lives of everyone she met.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her legacy will live on through the memories she created and the love she shared with those who knew her.

Cindy is survived by her mother, Betty Patton, her children, Griffin Gunter, Katie Gunter, Logan Gunter, and her husband, Tim Gunter. She is preceded in death by her father, RL Patton, and her brother, Barry Patton.

A celebration of life will be held at the home of Betty Patton in Arley, AL on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 2pm.
