Clayton Anthony Kolar, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on November 28, 2024 in Athens, Alabama, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on April 16, 1953, in Dickinson, North Dakota, and brought joy to all whose lives he touched.
For 27 years, Clayton was the owner of Kolar Construction in Colorado Springs, where he built lifelong relationships within the community. His unwavering dedication to his craft and his clients was evident in every project he undertook. Clayton’s strong work ethic and commitment to excellence earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.
Outside of his professional life, Clayton enjoyed a variety of passions. He loved drag racing, often spending weekends at the track with friends. The beach was another favorite destination, where he cherished time spent with his family. Family was at the core of Clayton's life; he delighted in every moment shared with them.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa; his daughters, Jennifer Kolar and Katie Anderson (Wesley Anderson); and his grandchildren, Alexa and Rhett. Clayton was also a cherished sibling and uncle to seven brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Clayton was preceded in death by his mother, Clarice Kolar, and his father, Tony Kolar. Their influence and guidance shaped the wonderful person he became, and they will be forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew him.
As we remember Clayton, we celebrate a life well-lived, a man who exemplified love, commitment, and resilience. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Celebration of Clayton’s life will be Monday, December 9th at Discovery Church in Athens at 11:00.
