Cecil Milbern Dean, 86, of Huntsville, AL, passed away Saturday, June 8. Cecil was born to James Franklin Dean and Thelma McClellan Dean in Scott County, VA. He resided in Kingsport, TN, with his wife Linda and children Bryon and Lori, and worked at Eastman Chemical Company until his retirement on January 1, 2000. Cecil was a proud member of the Virginia Army National Guard for 22 years and is a veteran of Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Cecil loved his family and friends. They were very special to him.
Cecil was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Linda Juanita Richardson Dean; his parents; three sisters, Merle Dougherty, Jean Penley, and Ruth Broadwater; two brothers, Harold and Kyle Dean; three brothers-in-law, John H. Dougherty, Broadis Penley, and Jerry Broadwater; and son-in-law, Rick Manis.
Survivors include his son, Bryon C. Dean (Dee), of Newport News, VA; daughter, Lori Manis, of Madison, AL; sister, Helen Horton (Bob) of Goose Creek, SC; his grandchildren, Brittany Amidon, Bryon D. Dean, Breeann Samson, Hannah Jones, and Brett Manis; his great granddaughter, Frankie Dean; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Special friends include Chaplain Randy Evers; Bob and Judy Bright; Heath and Kelly Brock; and great-niece Aubrie Penley.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Legacy Chapel Funeral home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will follow on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow the Funeral Service at Madison Memory Gardens.
