Cecelia Marie Hintz, lovingly known as Cis or Cissy, passed away on June 12, 2024, in Huntsville, Alabama. She was born on February 23, 1943, in San Diego, California. Cecelia was a Private First Class in the US ARMY and throughout her life, she embodied the true spirit of kindness and love.
Cecelia will always be remembered for her warm smile and gentle nature. She was the sweetest and kindest lady you could ever meet, always willing to try new things and go to new places. Her love for her Family and Friends knew no bounds, and she also adored her furry companions Daisy and Callie.
One of Cecelia's greatest joys was feeding the squirrels and birds in her backyard, especially the hummingbirds that held a special place in her heart. She found happiness in simple pleasures like going to Bingo, watching game shows, and visiting Disney World. A trip to Sonic for a chili cheese dog with mustard and onions or enjoying a vanilla ice coffee from McDonald's were among her favorite indulgences.
Her proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her three daughters Robin Kreta (Dennis), Rita Battistoni (Mike), and Renee Giddings (Emmit Aka Jack), whom she nurtured with love and care throughout their lives. She was also a devoted daughter to her mother Regina Miellentz and is now reunited with her father Andrew Giesken as well as siblings John, Charles (Sonny), Nicholas (Nicky), and Edward (Eddie) in eternal peace.
Cecelia leaves behind a legacy of love that will be carried on by her surviving family members. Her husband Richard Hintz, grandchildren Ryan (Marinna), Courtney (Dan), Katy (Corey), Cameron, Megan, great-granddaughters Emilia and Lily, and many other relatives and friends will cherish the memories they shared with her.
In every life she touched, Cecelia Marie spread compassion and joy. Her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace knowing that she made the world a better place with her presence.
