Andrew Allen Caudle

Andrew "Andy" Allen Caudle, born July 29, 1948, in Anniston, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morgan and Helen Caudle. Andy is survived by his wife, Jane Caudle; brothers Bill Caudle and James Caudle; daughters Celeste Holder (Jason Holder) and Rachel Burke (Kevin Burke); and grandchildren Tyler Holder, Drew Holder, Charlotte Holder, Bridget Burke, and Kelly Burke.

Andy was a devoted husband to his wife, Jane, and a loving father to his daughters, Celeste and Rachel. He was affectionately known as Papa to his grandchildren, Tyler, Drew, Charlotte, Bridget, and Kelly. Andy took immense pride and joy in attending ball games and events for his grandchildren, enthusiastically celebrating their accomplishments.

After serving honorably in the U.S. Navy for four years, Andy had careers with Dunlop Tire and Rubber Company and Chase Commercial. He was known for his dedication, kindness, and ability to strike up a friendly conversation with anyone he met.

Andy had many passions, including history, reading, and volunteering with The American Legion and Honoring Veteran Legacies. He was actively involved in The American Legion Honor Guard and served compassionately as Chaplain with The American Legion Post 229. He received honors, including A Quilt of Valour, in recognition of his service and sacrifice to protect and defend our nation from the Quilts of Valour Foundation. He was recognized with The American Legion Steadfast Supporter award. A dedicated member and Deacon at First Baptist Church in Madison, Alabama. Andy will be remembered for his giving spirit, selflessness, and gentle nature.

Visitation will be held at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home, 16 Hughes Road, Madison, AL 35758, on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 10:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. A graveside service will occur at Hillcrest Cemetery in Boaz, AL, at 3:00 pm on April 17, 2025.
