Huntsville

Andrea Michelle Mosquera, lovingly known as Shelly, peacefully departed this beautiful earth on January 16, 2025, in Huntsville, Alabama, leaving behind a cherished legacy of love and kindness. Born on March 5, 1970, in Mobile, Alabama, she was a beacon of warmth and light to all who crossed her path.

A proud graduate of Flomaton High School in 1988, Andrea initially embarked on a career as a court reporter, but her true calling blossomed when she followed in her mother’s footsteps into the beauty industry. With a gentle touch and a keen eye for artistry, she specialized in hair and nails, transforming not just appearances but hearts, as she made everyone feel special and valued. Her selflessness and generosity shone brightly in her professional life, where she embraced every opportunity to celebrate others.

Andrea was an embodiment of love; her thoughtfulness and caring nature often led her to put the needs of others before her own. Friends and family alike remember her for her infectious spirit, drawing in those around her with her laughter and compassion. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel seen and heard, carrying a light that seemed to dispel all shadows.

As a devoted wife to Albert Mosquera, Andrea found joy and laughter in their shared life together. Her love extended to her children, Alec and Madison Roye, whom she nurtured with unwavering support and affection. As a grandmother to Oliver and Roman Roye, she cherished every moment spent with them, creating a wealth of beautiful memories in her loving home, which she dedicatedly cultivated with gardens full of vibrant flowers and laughter-filled kitchen creations. Andrea was also a fur mama to two dogs, Stasha and Roo. Wherever you would find Andrea, they would be right beside her.

In her quiet moments, Andrea found peace tending to her cherished birds or losing herself in the therapeutic art of gardening. Cooking and baking were not merely hobbies but avenues through which she expressed her love for her family, always aiming to build a beautiful life filled with comfort and joy.

She is preceded in death by her father, Andre Deslonde, and her brother, Brett Deslonde, who will undoubtedly welcome her with open arms, cherishing her spirit once more.

Andrea leaves behind a loving family, including her husband Albert, her mother Linda Deslonde, her children Alec and Madison, her beloved grandchildren, Oliver and Roman, and two fur babies, Stasha and Roo, all of whom will carry her memory dearly in their hearts.

As we remember Andrea Michelle Mosquera, we hold tight to her legacy—her boundless love, her passion for life, and her unwavering commitment to making this world a kinder place. Her presence will be deeply missed, yet her spirit continues to inspire all who knew her, illuminating the way with the compassion and grace she so beautifully embodied.
