Claire Elizabeth Pennington

Claire Pennington, age 73, passed away peacefully on January 22nd, 2023, in Huntsville Alabama. Claire was born in Queens, NY on July 13, 1949, to her father Francis P McGreevy and mother Mary McGreevy who unfortunately passed away many years ago. Claire enjoyed many years of memories with her late significant other Geoffrey Elwood and daughters out fishing and enjoying the ocean on their boat in Long Island, NY. Claire was always a social butterfly, spending quality time with her family and friends, she will always be remembered for her true ability to love unconditionally and her wit - making you laugh was her forte, she never went unnoticed by anyone and was known by everyone. If Claire knew you, you were a part of her family - she was the neighborhood mom, grandma, sister, and best friend. Claire was one of 4 children; she is survived by her 2nd eldest sibling Marylyn Huber, her late brother John Ursini and late sister Frances Chmura - whom she loved and missed very much. She also is survived by Carolyn Domicello (her sister from another mother). Claire had 3 children, one son and 2 girls: Sean Patrick (the eldest who unfortunately passed away at about 1 week old) surviving daughters Patricia Cavanaugh and Mary Hopkins along with their significant others Dan Nelson and Reese Hopkins. Claire is also survived by the following: 3 Grandchildren - Jason Cavanaugh, Joshua Silverstein, Justin Stultz, 5 Great Grandchildren - Zachary Cavanaugh, Colby Silverstein, Kinsley Silverstein, Raelynn Silverstein, and Justin Stultz Jr. Several nieces and nephews: Jamie Gravatt, Alexis Gravatt, Catherine Risotto, Debbie Ursini Macpherson, John Ursini, Kim Ursini-Dilman, Madonna Ursini-Bonn, Mike Ursini, Patrick Ursini, Janice Huber, Adrian Huber, Christian Huber, Erich (Scott) Huber, Raymond Moser, Annabelle Moser, Piper Moser. Claire will live on in our hearts and minds, forever missed.
