Gary Franklin Humphries

Gary Franklin Humphries, of Huntsville, Alabama, age 81, passed away Monday, November 28^th, 2022.

Gary was born December 15, 1940 in Atlanta, Georgia. After 20 years of exemplary service, Gary retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force. He then went to work in logistics for Rockwell, and later for Boeing from which he retired.

Gary loved wood-working and home projects, helping anybody who asked, and sharing his sage advice with all. He never met a stranger, and he always had a story to tell. Put on a fresh pot of coffee and he was on his way.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Humphries, his three sons, Bobby Humphries, Allen Reeves (wife Danette), Thomas Humphries (wife Ceresa) and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father William Franklin Humphries, his mother Gladys Gertrude Humphries, and three of his siblings, Fred Camp (wife Lucille, deceased), Charles Humphries, and Martha DeMent. Gary also has one living brother, Donald Humphries (wife Chris). 

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 6^th at 2PM at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home, 16 Hughes Rd, Madison, AL 35758.

Friends and family are invited to gather afterwards for a Celebration of Life at 3015 Old Railroad Bed Rd, Harvest, AL 35749.
