Lorin McLean Cooke was born on December 30, 1983 in Williamsburg, Virginia.
She grew up in Newport News and graduated from Peninsula Catholic High School. Lorin spent most of her career in real estate and property management in various positions. She moved to Madison, Alabama in 2013 and built a life for herself and her 2 beautiful girls Cali and Bre. They were the light of her life and if you ever met and talked to Lorin more than a minute, you knew the girls too. As many people said, Lorin had the best laugh - she never met a stranger. She had the brightest personality and was an incredible artist -traits both her girls share.
Her other love was dogs. She loved her own dogs but really, any dog. It was an incredible thing to observe.
Lorin is survived by her daughters McCalland Grace Cooke and Breasyn Faith Thomas; her parents Lance and Holly Nation and Larry and Dianne Cooke; brothers Drew Cooke (Ericka), Scott Cooke (Cheri), Lance Nation Jr (Chelsea), Jason Wiley, and Eddie Duke ( Nicole ); sisters Victoria Nation (Jonathan), Sterling Cooke and Jennifer Wiley, with many more extended family members and beloved friends.
A memorial service for Lorin will be held on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022 at 1 pm at Legacy Chapel in Madison.
Escorted Inurnment will follow at Huntsville Memorial Gardens.
