Althea Ann Cash, of Madison, passed away at Madison Hospital on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at the age of 80, surrounded by her family.
Ann was born on July 12, 1942, in East Rainelle, West Virginia, to Humphrey Blair and Iva Grace May Lynch. She was married to the late James Larry Cash for 43 years. Ann worked and retired as the parish secretary at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm, Kentucky. She lived a long and full life as a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She and Larry retired and moved from Fancy Farm to Murray, Kentucky where they enjoyed their time living on Kentucky Lake. Ann moved to Madison, Alabama in 2011.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Madison. She spent many years sewing and crafting, and for the past several years was part of the quilting group at St. John’s, making baby quilts for families in need.
Ann will be forever remembered by her son, Mark Cash (Tonya), daughter Teresa Gribschaw (Jeff), and grandchildren Kyle Cash, Emma Cash, and Claire Gribschaw, her sisters-in-law Judy Lynch and Pat Lynch and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry, brothers Ellard Lynch (Mary), Oliver Lynch (Judy), and Kenneth Lynch (Pat), and sister Sue Collins (Jay).
A funeral mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 11am. Interment will take place at St. Jerome's Catholic Church Cemetery in Fancy Farm, Kentucky, on July 28, 2022 at 2:30 P.M.
