Lois P. Jones (Edwards)

June 19, 1942 — July 9, 2022

Lois Puckett Jones (Edwards), 80, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022, in Huntsville, Alabama. Born in Double Springs, Tennessee in 1942, Lois was one of 4 children of parents Bradley and Nina Puckett, both of whom precede her in death. Lois is preceded in death by brother Lloyd Puckett, Sr. (Joyce). She is survived by her sister, Doris Gragg (husband Alison) of Mt. Juliet, TN, and brother Kenny Puckett (wife Marilyn) of Cookeville, TN.

Lois was a graduate of Baxter Seminary in Baxter, TN. Shortly after graduating, Lois married the first love of her life, husband Clyde Holt Edwards, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, to whom she remained faithfully devoted throughout his 20-year career in the US Army and numerous moves around globe until his retirement when they settled in Madison, AL where they lived until his death in 1995. Clyde and Lois raised three children who survive her in death: Rick Edwards (Kristi) of Raleigh, NC, Susan Kleminsky (David) of Madison, AL, and Jeff Edwards (Tammy) of Harvest, AL.

Later in life, Lois was fortunate enough to meet the second love of her life, Gilbert “Bob” Jones of Baileyton, AL. Bob and Lois’ relationship led to a 19-year marriage that lasted until his death in 2018. Bob and Lois enjoyed traveling the world, spending time at their cattle farm, and spoiling their grandchildren.

In addition to her siblings and children, Lois is survived in death by 7 grandchildren: Bill Edwards, Lily Edwards, and Andrew Edwards of Raleigh NC; Kristian Testerman (Skyler) of New Market, AL; Connor Kleminsky (Chelsea) of Huntsville, AL; and Noah Edwards and Sophia Edwards of Harvest, AL as well as 2 great grandchildren: Maya Testerman of New Market, AL and Gray Kleminsky of Huntsville, AL.

Lois was a devout Christian and faithful member of Madison Church of Christ in Madison, AL. In addition to her faith, some of Lois’ most cherished activities included traveling, shopping trips with her friends, and above all, spending time with her friends and family.

Please join the family for a celebration of her life @ 2:00pm Friday, July 15, 2022, at Legacy Chapel at 16 Hughes Road, Madison, AL 35758.

A visitation will be Friday, July 15, 2022 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Legacy Chapel.
