Donald Arnold

Donald ‘Don’ Arnold passed away on June 30^th, 2022, at 72 years of age. Don was born in Campton, KY on August 1^st, 1949. He graduated from Wolfe County High School in 1966; Lees College in 1968; and Morehead State University in 1971. Don then served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War from 1971-1972.  In 1972, he began his 35-year career with Chrysler, retiring in 2007. 

Don lived life to the fullest enjoying playing/listening to music, vacationing, golfing, bowling, and most of all his visits to the family farm surrounded by loved ones.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Verna (Stamper) Arnold; brother Alton Arnold; sister-in-law Betty Arnold; niece Debby Arnold Beers; and nephew Adam Arnold. He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Arnold; daughters Paula Arnold Hopkins and Sonia Arnold Hicks (Jamie); granddaughters Emily Claire Hopkins and Abigail Love Hopkins; brothers Doug Arnold (Margo), John Arnold (Jan), William Harold Arnold (Karen) and sister Jean Arnold Horine (George). He is also survived by nephews Steve Arnold (Lori) and Michael Arnold (Alycia); nieces Jackie Arnold Clark (John), Michele Arnold Macmartin, and Nichole Arnold Thomas (Jason) as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.

Legacy Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory will host visitation on Sunday, July 3, 2022 from 1:00 PM – 4 PM.  Don will be laid to rest in the Arnold-Hobbs family cemetery in Campton, KY.
