Jack Alton Roach

Jack Alton Roach, age 88, went to be with hisheavenly Father on May 3, 2022. He was born in Savannah, Georgia in 1933 to Charles Emmett Roach and Lillie Elizabeth Schroeder Roach.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Shirley, and two brothers, Charles and Theron Roach.  

Jack is survived by his daughters Laura Byrd (David) and Jenny Buckner (Russ), seven grandchildren Amy Perdue (Ross), Andrew Byrd (Katie), Lauren Buckner (Grant), Ryan Buckner (Camille), Jesse Buckner (Nikki), Josh Buckner (Sydney), and Claire Buckner (Nelson), seven great-grandchildren, Davis Perdue, Anna Perdue, Allie Perdue, Harrison Byrd, Brooks Byrd, Ella Claire Perdue, and Ben Buckner and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom heloved dearly. 

Jack was a Master Mason and a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church where he was surrounded by many wonderful friends.   He loved camping, hunting, cars, working in the yard, and spending time with familyand friends. 

Visitation will be at Mt Zion Baptist Church, Huntsville, Alabama on May 9, 2022 at 2:00 pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 pm.  A graveside service and interment will take place on Wednesday May 11, 2022 at 11:00am at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery, Savannah, Georgia.
