Gerald Wayne Francis

Gerald "Jerry" Wayne Francis, 81, of Madison, Alabama passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents Jessie Duffie Francis and John A. Francis, sister Martha Jean Berry, son David R. Francis, brother-in-law David E. Jersey, and his mother-in-law Peggy Brown.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife Trudy Jo Francis, ex-wife and mother of his children Gloria Francis, children Douglas Francis, Donna E. Dudziak, MD, Debora Renee Francis, stepdaughter Jamie Bush, 8 treasured grandchildren, and his beloved pet, Gracie.

Gerald was a member of MENSA. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. He also received a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State. In between his years of pursuing his education, he served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. Gerald worked in all three mechanical, electrical, and aeronautical engineering and worked for numerous companies in the country. He ultimately retired from Lockheed Martin.

A private visitation and funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022.
