Melba Wells

Melba was born in Marshalltown, Iowa.  She was a military spouse who traveled and cared for her family wherever she was.  She ministered as a mother and through these travel opportunities, to many families and schools.  She also loved to serve as a pianist and served most recently with the Whitesburg Homebound Ministry.  Melba loved her church and watched over everyone as a receptionist for 8 years, into her eighties.  

She is survived by her daughter Sharon (Robin) Smith, her sons Paul Wells, Philip Wells, and Daniel (Tina) Wells.  She is also survived by her grandchildren:  Jennifer Smith, Robert (Kyla) Smith, Hattie Simoneti, Kiersten Wells, Kaitlin Wells, Melynda Carroll, and Jeremy Carroll; and great grandchildren:  Nayeli Smith, Adrian Smith, and Corryn Smith.  Melba was preceded in death by her daughter, Marcia Perez and her daughter, Karin James.

Melba loved so many, so well, with what she had.  She was loved and cherished for her sweet and generous spirit.

She went Home to be with the One who loves her most on February 14, 2022.
