Following a long battle with Parkinson's disease, Peggy Moeller peacefully passed away on Dec. 27th, 2021, at 78 years of age, surrounded by her daughters Beth and Ann and her loving husband of 51 years, William Moeller. Peggy grew up in Hawkinsville, GA. She received her master's degree in mechanical engineering from UAH. Peggy was active in the civil rights movement, worked at NASA during the Apollo moon shot, and served as an engineer for the Army for the majority of her career. Upon retirement, she did volunteer work for as long as her health allowed. A visitation will be held at 11 am, followed by a funeral mass at noon, on Thursday, Dec. 30th, 2021, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1055 Hughes Rd. in Madison. Memorial donations may be made to The Land Trust of North Alabama or the Saint Vincent DePaul Society at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
