Jim was born in Chicago, IL; spent his childhood on Mercer Island, WA and his teen and college years in New Orleans, LA. His Army career moved him around the country frequently. Jim was an Army pilot, a Vietnam veteran, attended the Army War College, served at the Pentagon, and specialized in defense acquisition programs and marketing and strategy during his Army career and through his career with Lockheed Martin. Jim and his wife, Nancy, have resided in Madison, AL, since 2010 enjoying their retired life, laughing, talking and being together. He volunteered and served as past Treasurer and current President of Adopt A Golden Birmingham, past Treasurer and President of the Walden HOA, Treasurer of the Mohawk (airplane) Association, and lead inspector for local precinct elections. He was generous with his time, money and experience. He was a devoted husband, kindly father and grandfather, a good friend and neighbor, and a man of honor and integrity.
