George “Roger” Bisbee, 85, of Madison passed away on April 13, 2021. Roger lived in various states throughout his life, including Missouri, where he was born, Montana, where he was raised, and Arizona, where he worked, before settling in Alabama to be near his family.
Roger loved many things. He tended closely to his vegetable garden and was always eager to share his harvest. It’s quite possible he devoured more fried eggs than any human in the world’s history. Thanks to his constant viewing of MSNBC, he knew more about politics than most seasoned political pundits. And anyone who ever spoke to him knew that Montana was a place that gave him some of his best memories. He undoubtedly loved what life offered him.
It was his family, though, that he loved the most. He, always with a beaming sense of pride, attended countless band competitions, plays, recitals, sporting events, and graduations. He’d tell anyone who was willing to listen how the family member he was there supporting was the best.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, George and Berniece Bisbee, and his siblings, Diane Bisbee and Dale Bisbee. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Bisbee, his daughters Becky Carr (Tom) and Lori Bisbee, his grandchildren, John Speigner, Meredith Carr Sides (Bradley), Mckenna Underwood (Austin), his great-grandchildren, Mahala Speigner and Christopher Speigner, his sister, Penny Nellis-Rivera (Ruben), and his best four-legged friend, Sophie Ellen Bisbee.
The family will hold private memorial services.
