A woman whose passion, love, and determination influenced many in her journey of life, Lacie Renee Ring, 33, passed away peacefully in her home in Harvest, Alabama on January 9, 2021. Lacie was born on October 21, 1987 to Robin Cole Sr. and Linda Sue Cole Bell. She was a graduate from Ringgold High School, Wheeling Jesuit University (BS), California University of Pennsylvania (MS) and The University of West Alabama where she received her Instructional Leadership Certification to become a K-12 Administrator. Lacie was employed by Madison School District in Madison, Alabama as an Elementary Math Specialist. Lacie was happily married to Dan Ring and shared a beautiful 21 month year old daughter Ruby at the time of her death.
Lacie is survived by her husband Dan Ring, Harvest, Al; a daughter, Ruby Ring, Harvest, Al; her parents, Robin Cole Sr. and Linda Sue Cole Bell; 4 siblings Robin Cole Jr., Jeremy Cole, Logan Ferwerda, Mya Cole, and a host of close family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Sunday, January 17th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Central Assembly of God Church at 155 McGovern Road, Houston, Pa. 15342. The ceremony will begin at 3:00 p.m. The service will also be live streamed at Logan Ferwerda’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/logan.cole.1044). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to marchforbabies.org (Team Ring) or gofundme.com (Remembering Lacie Ring (Cole)). Friends and family are also invited to email how they knew Lacie and how she influenced their lives to [email protected]. These emails will then be collected and turned into a book of thoughts by her husband Dan, for their daughter Ruby.
Lacie truly lived her life to the fullest. She was a bright star that God sent to light up the world and create a spark in her students’ hearts and minds. She will always be remembered for seeing and bringing out the best in everyone she knew.
