Larry William Horton, Jr., 48, of Harvest, Alabama passed away Friday, January 8, 2021.
Larry William Horton Jr was the eldest son of Larry Horton Sr. and Barbara Irene. Larry was born in Nashville, Tennessee where he lived until 2018 when he became a resident of Harvest, Alabama.
Larry attended elementary school at Shwab and Tom Joy, middle school at Highland Heights and High school at Pearl-Cohn where he graduated in 1990.
Larry was native to West Nashville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He then, along with his family, helped form the Fisk Park Congregation. Larry was always present at the meetings and in field service reading the bible and teaching others about God's Kingdom. For most of these meeting Larry would pick up other riders to help them attend the meetings as well.
Larry met a special young lady that attending the Fisk Park Congregation with him. Agatha Helms. She later became his wife of 26 years. Larry asked for and was granted her hand in marriage in 1994. Larry’s daughter was born in 1999 and he loved her dearly and her son, his grandson Evan that was born in November of 2020.
Larry loved Jehovah and his family. He had a host of many, many friends.
If you knew him, you loved him. He was an all-round, charismatic, humorous, loving, happy kind of guy. If you were his friend, he was more than a friend to you. Larry would call and come see you, he would give you a ride and take time out of his day to get you whatever you needed. Larry was one of a kind.
Larry had a nucleus of very close friends that included: Charles DeFrance, Charles Wimes, Clifford Morris, Jason DeMoss, Jeremy Burns, Mike Peoples, Moe Tucker, The Donegan Family men and The Pratt Family Men.
Larry was proceeded in death by his younger brother, David Maurice Horton.
He is survived by his parents Larry and Barbara Horton Sr. His wife Agatha Neomi. His daughter Azha Renee his infant grandson, Evan Azariah and his brother Reginald Lamont and (Tesia) Horton. Larry had a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and in-laws that he loved dearly and too many friends to mention. Larry was loved and is missed.
