Karl Stanley Christman

Karl Christman passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at his home in Madison Alabama. His funeral service will be held at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home, 16 Hughes Road, Madison Alabama on November 17, 2020 at 2:00pm with visitation beginning at 1:00pm. Father Chris Hartley will officiate.

Karl was born on July 5, 1948 in Rochester New York, lived in Flower Mound Texas and Atlanta Georgia before retiring to Madison Alabama to be near his daughter and grandchildren.

Karl married his high school sweetheart, Marcia, on May 24, 1969 and celebrated 51 years of loving his best friend. Karl was a devoted father to his son Jason and daughter Bethany.

Karl had a long and distinguished career in engineering technology and was most proud of his many accomplishments in 3D technology.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter. His passion was the sea and he spent many hours sailing and cruising around the world. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Karl is survived by his wife Marcia, daughter Bethany Wing, his three grandchildren Connor Wing, Emily Wing, and Alex Wing, and his son-in-law Frank Wing. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, David and Nanci Christman, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph and Rhonda Rossi, nieces, nephew, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. Karl is reunited in God’s Glory with his son Jason, his parents Gerald and Olive Christman, his brother Jim Christman, and his beloved grandmother Flo Bachle.
