Earl Spencer Starling

Earl S. Starling, age 67, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2020 at home in Madison, AL. 

He was born August 23, 1953, in St. Petersburg, FL, to Robert Sr. and Mary (Ma) Starling. He proudly served his country for 22 years and 9 months in the US Army. He married Shewainesh B. Starling on February 20^th 1976, in Berlin, Germany where they met and fell forever in Love.

Earl was more than just a husband, father, brother, Papa and Uncle – he was a friend, mentor, provider, protector and teacher to anyone that he touched. Earl loved his family “with all his heart.” He showed all the kids in his family and neighborhood the love of a father and often put others’ needs before his own. His name and soul will live forever as long we continue to speak it out loud, remember the good times as he would want us to do. Earl’s love was color blind, he showed us all what it meant to love unconditionally.

Survivors include his wife, Shewainesh Starling; son Alem Starling and his wife, Vanessa; daughters Saba, Jolene, Hawelt and Jessica. Siblings: Mary, Patricia, Robert Jr., Margaret, Beatrice and Walter. Grandchildren: Ayanna, Amaya, Berhe, Janae, Johnnasia, Jordyn, Dawit, Yohannes, Kudos, Asmara, Elika, Senait, Destany, Journi, Nova, Shawn, Shay’anne, Shannia, Amarhi, Amiya, and Senite.
