Joyce Dale Harber, age 85, of Huntsville, Alabama, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday September 9, 2020. She was a faithful follower of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and a member of the Church of Christ in Huntsville, Alabama. She was the beloved Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Friend born on July 31, 1935 in Chandler-Etowah, Alabama to John Nelson Dale and Ruby Catherine Edmondson Dale. She was the oldest sister in a family with 9 children. She was simply known as ‘Sis’ to everyone. In her teen years (1952), her family moved to Cobb County, Georgia where she eventually met and married the love of her life, Ramond Dale Harber (Dale). Joyce recently celebrated 65 years of marriage with her husband Dale. They eloped and were married New Year’s Eve, 1954. Shortly after that, they welcomed the birth of their only child Susan. Joyce was a homemaker, kindergarten teacher, and office manager at a local Dentist, but her true passion was for family. She enjoyed going on trips with her siblings and her husband, large family get-togethers, and helping to raise her grandkids. Joyce served as a hair stylist to an assisted living center, as well as volunteering with a needy family organization in her local community serving clothing and food to the less fortunate while sharing the message and love of Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers, Oliver Jack Dale and Lacy Harold Dale. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Ann Harber Caraccioli, (Paul), Grandsons Lucas Morgan Caraccioli (Melissa), Matthew Adam Caraccioli (Brittany), 5 great grandchildren (Bryce, Kaitlyn, Jaxon, Scarlett, & Cash), and siblings Leon Dale (Melba), Richard Dale (Evelyn), Billy Dale (Lillie) Hollis Dale (Susan), Judy Dale Larkin (Tommy), and Toni Dale Pinkowski (Rich). “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8 KJV
