Susan Arned Persinger

Susan (“Suzy”) Arned Persinger, 74, of Madison, Alabama, passed away on October 30, 2019.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on November 3, 2019 at Restoration Church South Huntsville, 2021 Golf Road, Huntsville, Alabama.  Pastor Huey Hudson, lead pastor of Restoration Church, will be officiating.  Arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapel of Madison, Alabama.

Suzy was born in Muskegon, Michigan on May 27, 1945.  She graduated from Rockford High School in Rockford, Michigan.  Suzy was married to Hughie Persinger on August 26, 1961; they were married almost 39 years.

Suzy worked as a shift manager for McDonalds for over 15 years.  She enjoyed motorcycling, softball, crafts, sewing, cooking, and sharing coffee with family and friends.  She was also actively involved in her church, and women’s group, “Winning Women”.

Suzy is survived by sister Mary Garver of Lake Placid, Florida; son Christopher Persinger and daughter-in-law Anne Persinger of Hammond, Louisiana; daughter Crystal Hogan and son-in-law Paul Hogan of Harvest, Alabama; grandchildren Norma French, Tonya Garris, William Persinger, Zachary Persinger, Brittney Hogan, Aslan Hogan, and Jonathan Hogan; great-grandchildren Christopher French, Carl Garris, and Mason Garris; and many nieces and nephews.

Suzy is preceded in death by husband Hughie Persinger; son Curtis Persinger; father William Drummond and mother Velma Drummond; and brothers Fred Drummond, Jack Drummond, Blain Drummond, Dick Drummond, and Dan Drummond.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The Neighborhood Cupboard, c/o Restoration Church, 5810 Wall Triana Hwy, Madison, AL  35758.  The family of Susan Arned Persinger wishes to thank the entire Restoration Church family for their love and support during this difficult time.
