Gregory Todd Melbo, 56, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 after battling rectal cancer over the past three years.
Born October 31, 1962 in Nashville, TN. Moved with his father from Los Angeles, CA to Scottsdale, AZ after his sister died in 1977, he graduated 1980 Saguaro high school Scottsdale, AZ, and 1980-82 at Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ.
Greg's real love was the car business starting as a salesman while attending Arizona State University, to moving on up to finance manager and sale manager at numerous dealerships in Scottsdale and Tucson, AZ. However, he was not a fan of paper work, he much preferred just selling cars. Started a company called; Promotions4U which promoted used car sales event lasting only one or two days called; Slasher Sale Event at new car dealerships throughout the southeast. His sales pitch to the dealerships General Manager was; "I will sell 50 used cars in one day without a test drive," and he did time after time, went on to win several awards as top salesperson loved making the sale and loved seeing the happiness on the buyer's face. Most recent sales position over past eight years was with Mercedes Benz of Huntsville.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Monica Lynn Melbo, 11, of Nashville, TN in 1977; survived by his mother Carolyn Melbo Boyette of Albertville, AL; father Mark Melbo of Sun City West, AZ; son Jacob Melbo; daughter Cassidy Melbo; grandson Sterling all of Charleston, SC.
