Ian Mark Clough, 27, a resident of Atlanta, GA, formerly of Madison, AL passed away on July 13, 2019. He was an Alabama resident for 24 years.
He was born in Huntsville November 21st, 1991. Ian attended Bob Jones High School, where he graduated with honors in 2010. He attended The University of Alabama where he graduated in 2014 magna cum laude. During his undergraduate career Ian was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He continued his studies earning Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Management Information Systems.
Ian’s professional career began in 2016 as an associate consultant with Price Waterhouse Coopers. In recent months he received a promotion to senior associate status. He was a hard worker who was well respected and admired by his colleagues and supervisors.
Ian had a passion for adventure and travel. His goal was to experience other cultures, learn about the world and experience unique adventures. He visited four continents, twelve countries, and numerous states on his quest to see the world.
An avid sports enthusiast, a lifelong lover of the Crimson Tide, Ian had an affinity for all sports especially Alabama football, the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. He was a passionate music lover and attended numerous live music events.
Ian was extremely witty, clever, kind and loving with his family and friends. He will be extremely missed by all, but will forever live in our hearts.
Ian is survived by his parents, Mark and Lesa Clough and brother Chandler Clough of Madison, AL. His maternal grandparents Melvin and Patricia Hebert of Hersher, IL and his paternal grandmother Marilyn Clough of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday July 19 from 3-5pm at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 5pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for the creation of the Ian Clough Explore the World Scholarship. This scholarship will be given to a deserving student at Bob Jones HS who is without the necessary financial means to participate in the numerous overseas tours that are offered. It is our hope to continue this scholarship in his name for years to come. All donations made to the family will go to this future endeavor.
