COL (RET) Jackson Calhoun Graham, III (Jack) was born on December 16, 1965 in Clinton, South Carolina to the late to Calhoun and Lodema Graham. He went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2019.
Jack entered military service upon graduation from High School in 1983 and enrolled in Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina. There he met his sweetheart, Lynne Meyer. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as 2LT in the United States Army. He and Lynne were married 1989. Together, they were blessed with three beautiful children.
Jack enjoyed a storied career in the military and civil service where he rose through the ranks to Colonel before retiring in 2017. After retirement, he served as Vice President for MSB Analytics, Inc. He later joined Equator Corporation as Vice President, Strategy in May of 2018. He was a member of the Board of Directors for the Huntsville Association of Small Businesses in Advanced Technology.
Jack enjoyed travelling, boating and spending time on the lake with his family. He also enjoyed a special relationship with his dog, Ellie. He and his wife Lynne celebrated 30 years of marriage on January 21 of this year. Jack, along with his wife Lynne, was an active member of the Church of the Highlands in Huntsville, Alabama.
Jack is survived by his wife, Lynne Meyer Graham; three children, Joy Elizabeth Graham, Jackson Calhoun Graham, IV, and James William Graham, all of Huntsville; a brother, Naaman Eugene Graham (Adrienne) of Laurens, South Carolina; a sister, Linda Graham Bowers (James) of Greenwood, South Carolina; father-in-law, William A. Meyer and mother-in-law, Nancy K. Meyer of Huntsville, Alabama; brother-in-law, Stephen A. Meyer (Suzy) of Charlotte, North Carolina; future son-in-law, Daniel Murch, of Huntsville, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jackson Calhoun Graham, Jr. and Lodema Smith Graham of Mountville, South Carolina.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. followed by the funeral at 1:00 p.m. at Asbury Methodist Church in Madison, Alabama. Interment will be at the Faith Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Alabama.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to their many friends for the overwhelming support they have received during this time of bereavement.
Memorials may be given to the Church of the Highlands, Huntsville, Alabama or Still Serving Veterans, Huntsville, Alabama.
