Joe Wade Simpson

Joe Simpson, 89, of Harvest, Alabama began his celebration with his Heavenly Father on May 21, 2019. He was born in College Grove, Tennessee to Landon and Mattie Simpson. Joe graduated Lee University and received his degree in Theology. 

Joe served in the army during the Korean War. He returned to marry F. Ethel Simpson on July 4, 1953. He was a wonderful husband of 66 years, father and grandfather to his four children, ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren who carry on his legacy. Joe was a skilled master craftsman in many types of woodworking. He owned and operated a cabinet shop for many years and then continued his love of crafts in woodworking projects.  He built furniture and designed specialty items. He and his wife traveled to Haiti, Trinidad, Mexico and the Ukraine sharing his love of Jesus with the world.

Funeral arrangements will be held at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home in Madison. Viewing will be Thursday, May 23rd from 6:00-8:00.  The funeral will be held on Friday at 11:00, burial will immediately follow.
