Judy Posey Vaden, age 64, passed peacefully at her Madison home on February 11, 2019. She was born to Oscar William Posey and Jessie Mae (Smith) Posey in Demopolis, AL on April 26, 1952. She spent early years in West Palm Beach, FL and later Clanton, AL.
Judy was a bright, inquisitive woman who was intrigued with other cultures. Living in Korea and Germany as a military wife she traveled extensively, always open to new adventures. She put a premium on learning and enriching her own life as well as those of others.
Judy married her husband, Giles H Vaden, on January 8, 1993 and was a loving, devoted mate. Judy touched the lives of others by devoting time and resources to the Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and the Cleveland Clinic. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift in her name to one of those organizations.
In light of her ties to the military, it is fitting Judy's body will be interred in the Montevallo National Cemetery where she will be joined by Giles in his time.
