Larry Keith Wilbanks, age 69, born on August 22, 1949 in Atlanta, GA and later moved to Huntsville, Alabama. He passed away on February 2nd, 2019 after a courageous 8 ½ year battle with prostate cancer, Keith passed away with his son by his side and with the loving support of the nurses at Hospice Family Care Inpatient Facility in Huntsville, AL.
Keith was proud of his nearly 30 years of service at Dunlop Tire Corporation. He worked hard his entire life and his work ethic and positive outlook served as an example to those that worked along side him.
Keith was a generous and loving man who always put the needs and wants of his family and friends before his own. For those who knew him well, he was a comedian at heart, always ready to share a joke or a funny story (especially with his pool pals at the YMCA). His kind nature was always on display with a “hello, how are you” for everyone that crossed his path. Keith’s greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren whether they were watching TV on the couch, going on a dolphin cruise at the beach or watching them play one of their many sports.
He is survived by his Son Mike Wilbanks (Heather), his Grandchildren, Brandon Wilbanks and Megan Wilbanks, his Sisters Gloria Lanier and Mary Noel, his Sister-in-Law Joyce Jones and his Stepmother, Bonnie Wilbanks.
Visitation will be at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 6th from 12-2 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Clearview Cancer Institute using the following link http://www.clearviewcancer.com/about/donate.
