Thomas Cates, Sr.

Thomas Franklin Cates Sr., 85, of Madison, AL, passed away January 7^th, 2019. Thomas grew up in Lauderdale County then moved to Madison and resided here for 51 years. He was a lifetime member of the Wall Highway Baptist Church in Madison, AL. Thomas is survived by his wife Shirley, sons Tommy Dale Cates, Donnie Cates (Sherry), Thomas Franklin Cates Jr. (Sherry), daughter Teresa Carlisle, and one grandson Thomas Franklin Cates III (Tyger). Thomas is preceded in death by his parents Rufus Cates and Vona Patterson Cates, sisters Viva Lee Davis, Magdelyn Bullard, and Fannie Hammond.
