Marjorie Henderson Jones, 93, of Huntsville, AL. passed away December 30, 2018.
Marjorie was born July 8, 1925, in Chambers County, Alabama to Brewer Carlton and Laura Eugenia Henderson. On December 7, 1946, Marjorie married Merle A. Jones in Montgomery, AL. together they had four children, Byron, Sandra, Stanley, and Gary.
Marjorie graduated from Massey Draughan business college in Montgomery, AL. and she attended the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga for Interior Decorating.
She worked at the Veterans Administration during World War II, she later worked at NASA for over 20 years in the secretarial field and won secretary of the year while there. Marjorie was a Red Cross Volunteer at Huntsville City Schools. She served in several offices of the Athens Pike Homemakers during the 1960s and won several awards. She attended water classes at Huntsville Aquatic Center where she had many friends and was an active member of Weatherly Heights Baptist Church, Huntsville, AL.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband Merle A. Jones; her son Byron Jones, her daughter Sandra Jones; and her sister Betty Jean Henderson Keeble.
She is survived by her son Stanley Jones; her son Gary Jones; 1 grandchild, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews from Chattanooga, TN and Camp Hill, AL.
