James “Ryan” Corder, 37, entered into Glory on Saturday, December 1, 2018 after a valiant battle with brain cancer. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior supported him through his battle and gave him a sense of meaning and peace. Ryan was survived by his father and mother James and Patricia Corder in Madison, Alabama; his brother Paul Corder, sister-in-law Hayley Corder, and niece of Huntsville, Alabama. His aunts Cindy Green, Janet Waller (David), Karen Knight (Danny), his uncles Don (Kay), Ken (Ginger) Corder and cousins Mark Waller, Drayton Knight, Kellie Hall, Whitney, Evan, and Mitchell Corder. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents James and Annie Corder and Jack and Beverly Green. He was born on December 1st; 1981 in Huntsville, Alabama. He attended school at Westminster Christian Academy, and then graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Electrical Engineering. Ryan was passionate about helping others and supported many missional organizations, one being WAY-FM, because of his faith in Jesus. He was a computer engineer by trade and enjoyed working for his last company (BTI) who supported him through treatments and even after he was forced to stop working. The friendships he made were long lasting and everyone could count on him to help out. Ryan put his faith in Jesus at a young age and knew he was put on this earth to be a witness for Jesus’ Glory. Ryan took on brain cancer with the mentality that he was put on this earth to suffer for Christ. His testimony in this way is a reminder that even though Christ is the great physician, he has authority over death by conquering it and providing eternal life. Romans 10:9 “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved”.
