Jewel Ann Nelson

Jewel Ann Nelson age 72, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018. Jewel was born on May 3, 1946 in Belle Plaine, Iowa to James W. and Frances E. Snyder. Jewel resided in Madison, Alabama. Jewel was a United States Air Force veteran. She served from 1971 – 1981 as a staff sergeant. She then worked at the Corp of Engineers from 1993 – 2004. She retired in 2004, but went back to work at the Corp until 2015. Jewel was an avid crafter and held a strong bond with her family. Jewel is survived by her son, Warren Nelson III (Sara Nelson); daughter, Jeanette Nelson (Ty Lowe); brothers, Jim Snyder (Sue) and John Snyder (Joleen); sister, Nancy Jacob (Dan) and seven grandchildren: Jordan Nelson (20), Annalise Lowe (17), Taylor Brown (15), Adriana Nelson (10), Ty Lowe Jr. (10), Tylia Lowe (7) and Sloan Nelson (7 months).
