This is a tribute to a life well lived by Doris J. (McKeeman) Sepnieski. Her sense of humor and positive attitude remained intact through her difficult battle with Alzheimer’s Disease and Congestive Heart Failure.
She was born in Ligonier, Ind. to John Virgil and Goldie Iris (Madden) McKeeman. She was the second of 11 children.
Doris spent the majority of her years in Orlando, Fl and recently moved north to live near family. She was a devoted Catholic and a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, Orlando, Fl. She retired from the Orange County School System (Edgewater High School) after 24 years of faithful service in the cafeteria. Never being one to let moss grow under her feet, Doris spent many hours volunteering at Brothers Keeper Thrift Store. She never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation, making new friends along the way. She enjoyed reading, the beach and traveling with her husband, George L. Sepnieski.
In addition to her husband of 44 plus years, she is survived by six children: Sonna (Howard) Shields, Deborah (Michael) Signorelli, Larry Bechtel, Stan Sepnieski, Mary Benedict, and John (Karen) Sepneiski. Doris was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Bechtel. Doris has nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The family is grateful for the care provided by Amediys Hospice of Huntsville Al.
