John Douglas Aldredge, 47 from Madison, AL, went to heaven surrounded by his family on Thursday August 2nd. John was born on September 11, 1970 in Knoxville, Tennessee to William and Dottie (Young) Aldredge.
John is lovingly remembered by his family for his sense of humor, kind spirit and giving heart. He thrived on the exchange of creative ideas with his family and friends and his smile would light up their day.
Animal lover, Athlete, Artist, Husband, Father, Brother, Son and Friend John spent his life caring for others. He loved to paint, cook, fish and spend time with family and friends. His greatest joy was being the father of three beautiful girls and he hoped their lives would be full of happiness. John spent his youth playing baseball, basketball, football, ran track and swimming. While attending Decatur High School he was known for his achievements in art, football and track. John received a scholarship to attended McNeese State in Lake Charles Louisiana as a Decathlete. While in college he studied art and developed an expertise in several art mediums.
John continued painting throughout his life and thrived on creating art. He was an amazing painter who put is soul into his artwork. After leaving school John worked in Advertising Design. For the past 18 years John worked as a Restaurant Manager. He was married in May 2014 to his partner in life Jennifer Elliott and found joy in raising their daughter Jessica.
John is survived by his wife Jennifer (Elliott) Aldredge; Daughters Lauren Larson, Olivia Hurst and Jessica Elliott; step son Tyler Kimbrough; parents William and Dottie Aldredge; his sisters Sidney and Rebecca Aldredge and step sisters Sissy Odell, Annette Mitchell and his niece Harley Aldredge and nephew Will Aldredge. John will be loved and not forgotten.
