Lorene Alvina Calavitta

Lorene Calavitta, 80, of Madison, AL, passed away Monday July 16, 2018.

Lorene is survived by her sisters, Marilyn Burnett, Carol Blystone, and Eileen Ault; brother, Nelson Ault; children, Tina Newman, Kim Lindsey, Tony Calavitta, Deneen Calavitta, Mario Calavitta, Maria Leonard; grandchildren, Christine Routh, Jonathan Heller, Bobby Newman, Amanda Newman, Shane Lindsey, Aaron Lindsey, John Franco, Marcus Franco, Joshua Franco, Peter Franco, Michael Leonard, Morgan Leonard; great-grandchildren, Logan Heller, Victoria Routh, Jaxon Lindsey, Harper Lindsey.

Loree enjoyed life and being around family. She had 6 Children, 13 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren.

She shared happiness and joy with others. It was as if she never met a stranger and talked to everyone.

Loree had a big heart was very giving- even if it was just a smile or a hug. Her grandchildren can attest to the excellent back rubs she was eager to give.

She was affectionately known as the “cake lady.” Baking Bundt cakes was her way of sharing joy.

Her hobbies included bowling, roller skating, sunbathing, dancing, listening to music, gardening, and shopping.
